What Is Lifeline?
The Lifeline program was established in 1985 by the Federal Communications Commission and was created to help eligible low-income consumers in every state, territory, commonwealth, and on Tribal lands have access to telecommunication services.
Who Qualifies?
Lifeline is a government benefit program providing free cell phone service for eligible customers. You may qualify for FREE phone service if you receive assistance from Medicaid/Medi-Cal, SNAP/CalFresh or other government programs, or if you are considered low income.
